Christ Crucified

Over Easter we did a series on looking at Jesus on the Cross to bring us come back to a place where we open our eyes to how much Jesus went through in both bodily torture and verbal abuse.

Every year at Easter we remember what Jesus did for us by dying on the cross and then rising again.  In fact if you go to church on a regular basis you will realise that what Jesus did in those few days is the basis of everything that we as Christians believe.  Why were we created? To have a relationship with God the Father; how do we have that relationship? Through the saving grace of the blood of Jesus; what happens when we die? We have everlasting life in heaven; how do we get everlasting life? Through the resurrection of Jesus who defeated death.  Each week we remember the cross of Christ in some way or another.
Unfortunately because we all too often hear about the cross of Christ we can sometimes miss what actually happened on the way to and actually on that Old Rugged Cross.
